all these numbers are pretty useless...the only real way to measure effientcy is difference between fill ups, then calculate a number per km (or mile whatever you want to use)...

Particularly on Civics, which seem to have one of the least accurate fuel guages I've ever seen....fluctuates are teh small hill

400-450 (hwy+city) on a 50L tank (99 civics have 50L if I'm not mistaken)

Hwy I got as much as 560 once...I hardly drive my car though...I have a beater.

The most kms I've gotten on 1 tank was 780 kms. Still have the receipt for that gas station b/c I wrote it down on the back after I topped it off way after the click of the nossle and was completely empty as the gas light was giving me a nice tan. This trip was going through the States on the way to Boston at 3 am and no gas stop open at the time.

550-650km/tank in the summer.

500-600km/tank in the winter.

Record was 700km/tank (37mpg) in October 06.

I pay about $35 for a full tank and get about 600-650 highway. but it all depends on where I am. I've gone from medicine hat alberta to brandon manitoba without stoping in saskatchewan for anything. I went from Calgary to Kenora Ont. in less then 14 hours on less then 4 tanks. then it took another 20 hours to get from there to Toronto and just under 6 tanks. just the altitude messes with your economy. all that driving was done with my eg h/b loaded with gear for two guys camping thier way across the country.

isnt it amazing that some folks are throwing mileage figures that even the manufacturer wont expect from the cars..haha

It isnt stretched.....i drove to bancroft and back which was 700....and i still had almost 6 L left, so i coulda got 800km to a full 45L. The thing is there is a big difference between driving 800km in one shot compared to a week, you just wouldnt get that kinda mileage if you drove 800km in a week. And you gotta drive like a grandma, 100km/hr and consistent on the gas pedal.

That was a head scratcher too for me. I think I filled an extra 4-5 more litters after the nossle stopped. But I needed insurance to get to where we wanted to go without running out of gas. I only tried it that once and only time though. I fill up at 1/4 tank usually.
