how fast are those old cx?
yo experts,
i just want to know how much power are those stock 93 CX engines?
i read at club-si, some guy said the stock 93 cx are 70hp (but its only for the US version) and the canada version uses the same engine as the dx/lx with 102hp....
so i'm curious, is it 70hp or 102hp?
(i know either power, i have to do a swap... i don't think 102hp can do much... but if its 102... then i can save up longer for a better swap)

cx prolly uses the same head and block as the dx but perhaps different throttle body and intake piping...I'm pretty sure when I saw a stock cx intake the piping looked like a drinking straw...it might also use a different ecu...cuz I'm pretty sure the cx does only have like 85hp or something

it's painfully slow, but it does have 105 hp.
just the long gear ratio kills the fun.
for fun on a budget, put together an Si tranny in there... and later on try for a Z6 head swap.
go for it, buy one! they may be gutless, but they are hella fun to drive!

haha... i agree with bbarbulo man
i plan to play around with 105 hp (or 70hp; whatever hp it is) for awhile just for the sake of fun...
its fun to be slow because you'll slowly cruise pass and beat those fast ones when they get pulled (especially on steeles near bayview and leslie)! hahaha (lame joke of the day!)

it's the fastest car in the world ... just because I drive one..
ok in all seriousness the DX and the CX in Canada have the same engine as the DX in America and is rated at 102 HP at the fly wheel
the CX in America has a 8 valve engine and is only rated at 70 HP at the fly wheel
so basically what you were told was correct as long as it's flywheel horsepower your comparing...
and thats the end of that question... next
