Honda Fcx
Maybe you’ve heard. The Honda FCX is the first fuel-cell car to be government- certified for everyday use. Which shouldn’t come as any surprise. Honda has been a pioneer of environmental technology from the beginning. The Honda FCX is poised to follow in this progressive tradition. The fuel-cell itself is propelled by electricity generated by a hydrogen-oxygen chemical reaction—and its only emission, remarkably, is water vapor. Now, with a fresh stamp of approval from the Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board, Honda is delivering a family of new FCX fuel-cell vehicles to its first customer, the city of Los Angeles.

Actually, the first customer of the FCX was the Japanese Government. It was delivered by the President of Honda Motor Co. At the same time, Toyota also presented their fuel cell vehicle to the Japanese government (a modified Toyota Kluger V, aka Highlander). I heard the Toyota stalled.
On the same day (by calander) the FCX to the City of L.A. was delivered my Mr. Yoshino, the president of Honda Motor Co. (I bet he had a long day...)

except for the electricity that was used to make the hydrogen probably came from some coal burning plant...
hydrogen cars are still a good 10-20 years down the road before they become a viable, and actually better option...
although I do agree its a step in the right direction

its the right way forward and its good to see honda at the forefront. such cars are still some time away to be daily drivers...more so cuz of hybrid cars of current age.
i wonder what happened to the E85 ethanol technology? seems like US govt. doesnt want it.
