I will not lie to nayone here but I dont like the look of new hondas Civic 2006 an up side wiev mirrors. I am talking abou 4 door. On 2 door they are perfect. So I was wondering if it is possible to replase side wiev mirrors from 2 door ( jut get them separate ) and install them on 4 door !? Your opinion , ideas and solutions. Please dont give advise like -Get 2door one - I hate those 2 door new civics. Thank you.

Hate the 2 door but love the mirrors? The mirrors are totally different. The coupes are attached directly to the door frame at the front edge, while the sedans stick out on a small arms further back. The mirrors are totally differnt and are not interchangeable.

I saw Civic with normal mirrors on 4 door. I think it is possible to do so. Check this out

The doors themselves are different on that concept. Notice they don't have the small windows at the front and the mirrors are mounted differently. You could still try though.

i dont see much of an issue here...they are mirrors only

Sal, if you look at the design of the mirrors you'll see what I'm getting at. The coupe mirrors are mounted to the front of the door, right in the corner of the glass. On a sedan, they are mounted on small arms and much further back then the corner of the glass.

A cool mirror mod would be to use the CSX/Hybrid ones with the have the turn signals in them.

i know that diff b/w the coupe and sedan mounting locations.....but my point was that it is just to personal taste and there is nothing to it technically. if you look at older hondas, delsol for e.g....they all had their mirrors on the doors.

I just figured that if you used coupe mirrors on a sedan, that there would be holes in the sedans doors where the original mirrors were.

That's what I want to do on mine, Mike. The problem is finding some "relatively" cheap CSX/Hybrid mirrors. That's why I haven't done this mod yet.
