HELP PLS! With pics

Alright... so last night my car wouldn't start. Went to try and boost it today, and nothing... so I think there must be a short somewhere.

The guy I bought the car from did a **** job takin out the old alarm system... so I'm thinkin it may be fawkin up...

Attached are some pics... I'm assuming that the wiring in the last 2 pics are completely useless... can anyone confirm this for me?

If anyone can offer advice... care to add me to MSN? brandonclark13@hotmail.com

Thanks!

Can you be a bit more specific?

Any sounds at all when you try to start?

Do any of the accessories turn on?

Battery is pretty new, and is reading a full charge... it sparks if I touch the negative terminal to the frame.

Yeah, it's manual... didn't try push starting it... not enough room to.

There was an alarm in it before... is it possible that there is the control unit of the alarm looking for a signal? There are 7 or 8 wires that run under the hood that aren't connected to anything... I'm going to try and pull those out.

I'm assuming the car ran before? I don't see why the alarm is suddenly interfering..

I have no idea... it looks like the wires were cut off, and I didn't notice until today that they seemed to have connected and bound together... I'm going to pull out the rats nest and see if it'll fix anything... this fawking sucks.

when I bought the car, there was no stereo/alarm horn... so I'm assuming the car could have been broken into... I've only had the car maybe 3 weeks. In fact, the guy said that they popped the door handle... so it must have been a break in...

UPDATE:

Took the alarm off... still no go... absolutely nothing... no lights, no sound... nothing at all...

This sucks.

edit: just went outside... opened the door and the dome light came on... then when I went to turn the lights on, the light went out.

Go down and see Kevin at Odyssey Mobile Electronics on Hart drive, might cost you a few bucks but he'll know what to look for and it might be a real easy fix. I know I had this problem when I took the alarm out of my '89, after I unplugged it I had to plug the ignition wire back in or it wouldn't start, if the guy just spun 'em together it may have fallen apart. Tell 'em Tod told you to come in.

check fuses ?

Hit the terminals on the battery. Make sure the terminals on battery are clean. Negative is clean. Check all that ? Even try to swap the battery if you can?

it sounds like a short somewhere... check first to see if the battery is shorted then check each of the other circuits in the car....

medothical testing is the only way to troubleshoot the issue

also it could be because I drove the car (well test drove it)

Yeah.... I'd start at the ignition switch and work back to the relay panel, and then work to the starter and such.

Prolly had a starter kill on the alarm, and the wires now just fell apart and it's touching a little bit, teasing you with the lights and ****

Get under the dash and dig in.

If you don't have the pateince for that, take it to where Tod over there said. $40 for a tow > freezing your *** off
