that's not a cheap swap.
cheapest engine ive seen, including intake mani and exhaust mani was $3000. you'd still need ecu and wiring harness to make the engine run... tranny, mounts, shifter+linkage, and i would imagine you'd need P/S unless you've got the arms of popeye since uhm you kno... kind of a heavy engine. anyway, point is that for the cost of the swap you could buy and boost a freshly built d series. twice. |
so it seems what i need is:
engine ecu tranny mounts shifter linkage anything else guys?? thanks... |
i think you need swap drive shafts for h22 cause of the length

Of course, with that extra weight you need a bigger front brake system. You have to upgrade your caliper, brake pads and a rotor.

Here is what you will need if you plan on swapping into an H22:
--> H22 Complete Engine with all accessories & ignition components --> H-Series or F-Series Transmission (H-Series is recommended) --> H or F Series Shifter Cables w/the shifter assembly & the cable mounting hardware --> F-Series Intermediate Shaft or Hybrid B/D Outer CV's with F/H Inner CV's --> H-Series OBD-1 ECU, but pretty much any ECU can be remapped for the H-Series --> H-Series to EG Civic mounts --> Fluids such as engine coolant & engine oil w/ filter. (Power steering won't fit without fabrication so most people scrap the idea) Thats pretty much all of it that I can think of for the parts detail. The H Swap is alot more labour intensive then a B-Swap so thats a whole other story. If you need more details, feel free to drop me a PM. I can set you in the right direction if you need anything. I've done quite a few of these before. In any event good luck |
the man knows his stuff....that's pretty much all you need for the swap^^
