Got hit yesterday
So I didnt drive my car to work yesterday, I was car pooling this week. While I was at work, my dad dropped his car off to the dealership, and was using mine for the day. So, he goes to pick up my mom from work and while hes parked in the parking lot, this reverses out and turns to sharp too soon and takes out my fender.
Now my driver side fender Is fudged, the bumper is scraped and my sideskirt is bent from the front. Luckily she just missed my wheel and my door.
The lady works with my mom, so shes being pretty good about it. We’re going through insurance, I filed this morning and they said that it wouldn’t affect my insurance at all.
But heres my slight dilemma, they said I could where ever I wanted to get my car fixed, but they suggest going to their recommended body shop, Birchmount collision. I want to take it to Honda, and they said that its not a problem, I’d just have to get 2 quotes.
Do you guys have any experience with either Roadsport or Formula? Or do you think I should go to their place, Birchmount?

Nooooooo, that sucks... Your luck with the car hasnt been the greatest the past few weeks
Id suggest getting it done at parkway. That way you can use the TCC discount to buy that parts needed to fix up your car.
Or buy a used set of parts, but giving your insurance company the quote from honda. That way you can get a bit more money out of it.

Go to Parkway, dude. Get the car quoted at full cost and then buy the parts with your 25% discount.

Get a quote, and ask for the money from the insurance.
Take that money and buy yourself an used black 99-00 fender, bumper and side skirt.
Keep the change.

From what I know, you have the right to have your car assessed and repaired anywhere that you want. An adjuster will come out to look at the damage and verify the claim. Then, the insurance company will give your entitled amount and you are free to do what you want with it.

Adjuster will make a file on your case and will visit your car to document exactly what is needed to be done. If you can be certain that the only the exterior needs work, then this matter can be solved quite easy on your own. Hope there is no structure damage.
Why do you think people drive with banged up doors and cracked bumper? Yes some are their own fault but some claimed the insurance money and leave the car the way it is. To some, cash is better as long as they can live with a dent or cracked body parts.
You have every right to claim the money, because you are the victim. But it is up to you whether you want to fix it or not. OR, fix it with some used parts and save a few bucks. Chances are, some body shops might even use used parts but with a fresh coat of paint, can you tell? No.
That's what I thought.

you get like one or two comprehensive claims before they up your insurance... i'd rather wait until it's something relaly expensive like a stereo or complete theft to claim and i get some money's worth out of the deal...

doesnt look that bad, go get two quotes max quotes, buy a 00 sir front end for 600-800$ and ur set, sell the left over parts, and keep the rest of the insurance money since a quote for damage like that is around 1200-1800$
