finally put some shoes in my car

So I bought my civic 3 years ago and I never really got the chance to do anything to it. I just drove it. However I have always want to modified (althought it has been modded already by the previous owner)

I finally took the first step and put new shoes on it. I still have around a grand to spend in more mods . Any advice here.

Few things i m thinking of

HIDS ( i think around 200$)
Body work ( scratch here and there and 1 door needs to be painted) around 300 at my bodyshop
Getting new mufler 600 at zorro muffler to get stainless steal from the fro t to the back (

I can maybe throw another 300 $ if i actually get transfer to montreal for 2 months , the overtime will be sick

pīcs comming

Looks nice man, but dont go to zorro muffler, they are ****ing expensive. Just buy a cat back system, it would most likely be cheeper, and you can get a brand name.

where do you guys go to get the exhaust .
I really want a nice exhaust system in that car someting that sounds deep. 5 bills sounds like something i can afford

The problem with my civic is that whoever had it before took the cat converted off the car. To be honest i m not a 100$ sure if i have a catalityc converter or not , when i bought the car I did not even know what a cat converter was but my car has a loud exhaust even though i have a regular muffler. Its not really a nice sound , its just loud , some people ask me if i have an aftermarket muffler but i don so it must be the car converter missing. Also i was not able to pass the emission test because i have the engine light on for the last 3 years , i scanned it and it looks like one of the oxygen sensors is missing . I got away through a buddy of mine who made me pass the e test . I know its ilegal but back then money was tight and i need it the car for work

I also thought of a bodykit but man the car is already low and i keep scraping the bottom everytime i go through a speed bump and there is more than 1 person in my car so i m not too crazy about a skirt

Just got out of your car and look directly underneath and you could see if you have a cat converter or not.. Just google up a picture of one.. Maybe you just have a straight pipe who knows but regardless you should get that stuff looked at.

I wouldn't get a bodykit but I'd get the type-r lips and do what I did and paint the side skirts silver..

you most likely have a exhaust leak, having no cat will make it loader, but it's more of a tingy sound, if it's loud, check your exhaust for any leaks.

I would agree on a lip kit. They make the car look so much better

yea it could also be a leak somewhere. The problem is that i keep scraping the bottom of my car everytime i get off my building. There is like a speed bump that not matter how slow i got i ll hit the bottom.

When i went to my mechanic i could see the whole bottom rusted (from the salt because its my winter car too) and also the pipe its all scratch.

I m not running a straight pipe thats for sure . I ll def take my car to a exhaust place so they can take a look at it and fix the whole damn thing once for all

The lips are nice i ll def have to get one.

I know there are a lot of things i can do but like i said before so far my budget is 1000 so i have to get the best i can with that.

Those rims i got in my civic i bought from someone here for 340 including the tires which was a pretty good deal i think

The only problem i m finding with the rims is that they are road noisy specially between 40-50 kms and hour. They ride nice on the highway and all , i m not sure what it can be but i wheel balance could be a start i guess. Also when i got above 130 i can feel the car shakes a little bit , nothing major but its just a different feeling. Tires before were 14 now this ones are 16s . Maybe someone can help here
