You just described the set up on my cousins '77 camaro. It has a 454. What? Nobody loves the sound of a VTEC engine?

Stood trackside at the Montreal Grand Prix, thought my ears would bleed from the sound of the F1 cars...! It's not a roar, more like...well, pain. Pleasure at the same time-- what an amazing sound.

Well as I stated above, I have too many fav engine sounds to list.

A fully built NA B, F(from the s2k) or K series DOHC vtec engines sound discustingly sick for sure.

Yeah american V8's sound nice, but that fact that I've heard a billion of them and that they are terribly inefficient just ruins it for me. I prefer the sound precision and efficiency.

A formula atlantic 4age making 240-260hp from an NA 1.6L dohc 4 banger is more impressive to me than any 1000hp big block V8. And, therefore I'd rather listen to the 4age.

Just my oppinion.

Since no1 mentioned it, properly built vr6 turbo with properly matched exhaust sounds almost orgasmic.
Also since somebody complained that no1 likes vtec, built b/h/f with rough idle sounds sexxy. The only downside is, its hard to find clean sounding civics/Integras in high rpm. Most sound like weed whackers.
