EK4 & EK??? Difference??

EK4 & EK??? Difference??

i bought a pair of ek4 sir front spindle for my ek sedan (97) i was jus wondering if its a direct bolt on? and if there is a difference between ek4 and ek???

ur sedan is an ej6....not an ek. civics with ek chassy codes were sold in japan, asian and europe etc. but not north america.....im not sure about the fitment however.

he bought the spindle so i am assuming from a jdm wrecker so it can very well be ek4.

to answer your question the ek4 is almost the equivalent of our em1 which is the SIR. if thats the case for the spindle it might be too big.

that might be cuz the jap ek4 sir was a hatch...not a coupe like our em1 sir. jay?

i thought canada was the only place that has the SIR... i thought they had CTR's there...

that model was sold in several countries other than japan....malaysia, thailand, philipines, UK etc. with versions 1 and 2. the key diff. as i said earlier is that their SIR is a hatch..while our SIR is a coupe (96-00 that is)

and i dont think the japs had a civic coupe like ours in their market. they always had the hatch or the sedan...or..a wagon (01-05 ES chassy)

its the equivalent not the same.
they came with the same motor and suspension etc like our sir.
