I want to get a duplicate key for 02 civic, apparently it's a chip key and I was told I can get one from dealership. Called dealership and it's $65 for key and and $70 for programming.
I ask them if I bring my own key (Transponder key from eBay) and if they will program it? I was told that we can't guarantee if it will work hence you are not buying the key from us. To me it's total BS anyway, I was wondering what are my options to get a duplicate key?

I've been to PartSource, and they will make a duplicate chip key...it's not as much as the dealership, but still expensive.

the key itself is gonna be expensive, immbolizer keys are pricy but your paying for that extra security. and of course any dealer is gonna charge to program, 70 is a bit much tho i think my dealer charges 50 to program
