Donations To Charity

Monday a interesting talk had arised and I do believe it is a good idea. as for what charities I have a idea. What about raising money and donating to charities that a member will pick each time. I guess I thought about it since if I do have a chance I try to donate to charities I find to be worthy and the ones that research for diseases that family members have died from. Doing this will create a good public face make the group look better and plus the other team I am in we will probably be starting the same thing soon. How does this idea sound?

I just think that if people see that we do care about what goes on and the charities should reflect some valid importance in our lives so people understand that this is not a bunch of trouble makers but a group that is trying to set a clear slate in the community other than hearing of punks on the road causing trouble.

Candian Cancer society is a good one...

Why don't we as a club by a fixer upper...

Fix it, mod it, paint it, etc, etc

And raffle it off...

Donate monies to worthwhile charities...

That way the whole club will be involved...

Just an idea...

Imagine....we all got pissed when he wrote that article......I wasn't about to stand back and let him bad mouth the import scene. I'm glad that I did call him to set that up. Something good came out of it.
As for charities......"Sick Kids". Or the "Sunshine Foundation"....the one that try's to make kids dreams come true.

children's charities

From my personal (family) experience if you are looking for good childrens charities try: childrens wish foundation, sick kids hospital (pennies for sick kids is a good one), or easter seals foundation (I know first hand how good these all are).

*you guys could even throw your change from coffees and food in a jar* as for the fixer upper I'll keep my eye out ( I just got a free car this weekend, but it's a camaro)*

*it's great to see soo many generous people in this club*

Hopefully things work out well I did some talks with people and I have to discuss to the admin staff to see if this wly but as for this I hope you guys do not consider a newbie as butting in since I want to try to contribute something to the group instead of standing aside and letting things slide. If we all want something to happen (i.e. change) someone has to start somewhere. I know that things that have affect me and my family persoanlly are Cancer, ALS, Drunk Drivers, and many more. Childrens wish foundation is a good charity. I am talking to some people to try to organize such things to raise money so I am wondering how much TCC support I would get since I am also doing this for my other team affiliation. This will work as long as members in the group do not do anyhing negative to persuade the public that we are a bunch of "STREET RACING PUNKS" Remember it only takes one person to make everyone look bad.

TCC Admin/Mod staff Would you be interesting in helping organize some events?

I think thats a great Idea to collect change from coffees at meets, perhaps we could even bring a can of food from the meets month.
We can even do a old clothing collection and donate that in the name of the Club.

Nothing mandatory, but just a way we can do something if we choose too.

Perhaps the the Mods and Admins can discuss those ideas...

donating clothes would be good as well as food drives, we could start off with stuff like that to begin with and then perhaps move up onto actually earning money or donating money to the preferred charities of choice.

I know a few people who might be interested in sponsoring a car wash with supplies and all in return for some advertisement. That could be useful...let me know if you need some help...my soul mate died at the hands of drunk driving...I'd like to be able to donate to that charity if possible...in hopes that no one else will have to go throught what I did.

If you have a car wash in mind, I'll gladly donate my time and wash cars. As for all the other ideas, I think the admin should make a decision on what is to happen, maybe have theme meets, such as "todays meet supports Sick Kids"
