deciding to sell my car

Right now im at 50/50 on selling my car. Not sure if i want too though b/c I love it. Another reason I want to keep it is b/c I did all the work to it myself and it was built by myself, not by some other guy and all the cash i put into it, it had new exterior, interior, motor, everything. The reason I may want to sell it is b/c I want a car a little newer possibly a 5th or 6th gen civic. I want power steering, a/c, etc. Im going crazy trying to make up my mind here, but if I do sell it i'll definetly regret it and want it back. What would anyone else do in my position. If i do sell it and buy a stock 5th or 6th gen there is no chance i'll have cash to modify it b/c of school. Thanx people
**Oh ya it's an 89 Si**

So if you sell this car, you'll have enough money for a newer one?

Personally I would sell the older one and get a new one.

I would just weigh both cars out. I mean you can look at it this way.. when you recieve the newer car you can modify it all over again. Just make sure the older car goes to someone who takes care of cars.

I say keep it. If you buy a new car wouldn't insurance be more?
and if you can't modify your car, IMO their's no point.
Just curious, how much are you selling your car for?

mmm if I sell it im not selling it for under 5.5 g's. I got offered 6g's in the summer and I told him it's not for sale, and he never even knew I had a swap done, he though it was stock. If I find the right person I'll get 6 - 6 1/2 no problem.
I am definietly thinking about a 5th gen b/c i don't like the rear ends too much on the 6th gens and they don't come with sunroof and im not too crazy about the seats too much also and there are so many nice aftermarket parts for the 5th gens and for the money I save I can put it into the 5th gen.

sweet ride it is..
that's the one that was at the westies meet right??
the crx??

shyt, would be a shame to let something like that go..
tho i did it with my bike just this summer..
had it air-brushed and the whole thing..

but i found myself a new obsession to occupy my time and burn my money on..
it ain't the ride that makes the man..
if you're feeling that your time with this set of rubber has come to an end, part with it and start fresh..
if you put as much into it as what you did with the crx you'll have another sweet ride in no time.. (and it doesn't take a fortune to do it..)

I would think that insurance would be more expensive on a newer car. If yours is running fine with no probs then I would say keep it.

si veloz, i don't think that was me, I have a civic not a crx, does my sig work? it's the one on the right, ya it's a bad pic, haven't been to a lot of meets but you may have seen me once, there's not that many 4th gens at the meets when i went, all i saw was two, nautica_t and dented dx, that was over a month ago maybe there's more now.
umm i don't the insurance will change much if i go from an 89 Si to maybe a 92-93 Si.

Maybe its me Si Veloz?(sorry if I mixed up too)
Seriously though, I'm kinda in your same shoes man.
As much as I love my CRX, theres times I wish I didn't put all I had into it.
I myself though am NOT selling my CRX. I've put too much into it and am not willing to let it go. I wanna be an old guy with a CRX 20 years from now(like the old guys with their Mustangs are now).I know I'm crazy.
Anyways I'm going to be saving up for a car as soon as I get my CRX back on the road again.
Still undecided b/w a 6th gen hatchback and a 7th gen coupe...

Anyways take time to decide and remember 4th gens are getting rarer and rarer...

I'm in the same boat, but I gotta sell my ride too. Maybe its a 4th gen thing but as much as I love it, I gotta let her go. Need something bigger, newer, an 94-95 EG coupe looks real good to me right now. I'll be getting rid of it in the summer.
