As many have said, the crx is going to be hard to find without rust problems, the eg hatch is readily available, and as long as you do your research you can find one in pretty good condition.

On the other hand, if you are willing to put some blood, sweat, and some cash into building up a wild CRX, then all the power to ya!

Im an eg hatch guy myself, and still had problems finding a rust free eg.

Best of Luck!

If I could find a mint rex from the US I would pick it up in a heartbeat.

CRX's are GREAT project cars, since they are very very fun to drive, but they are not very practical since they are only a 2 seater, and don't have alot of room to put anything.

if this car is going to be your daily driver, and your only means of transportation I would go with an EG since theres seats for 4, and a little bit more room to put stuff.

you said you wanted at least a B16 and a sunroof?

CRX Si's came with sunroofs, and a 1st gen B16 swap can be done for >$2000 if you know where to look.

so in a nutshell, if your looking for a toy get a crx, but if you need a more practical means of transportation, go for the EG

Yes, you'll be surprise with the amount of things you can fit in to the EG. Its totally practical.

The cool thing is u can do both, its practical and an awesome project car. You can fit 4 of ur friends in the car too!

CRX definitely has the cool and rare factor!
