Great disposable/lease cars.
Once the warranty is over, the problems arise.

It may be good for the first coulpe years when everythings new, but once you start getting the milage up, be prepared for the Gm problems to kick in, such as intake problems, trani problems, loud engine noises(bearings, lifters)

I would rather get a SRT-4 with low milage, Like them better in the looks dipartment and performance wise as well

Thats the only thing really worrying me..
As for teh srt-4 I love the engine, looks are alright but the interior is brutal. + its hard finding them right now.

hmmm, i think the cobalt looks so much nicer, exterior wise, than the srt-4. the str-4 looks just like a neon or sx2.0 to me.

the hp in this car is very underrated...we just had a dyno day for the LAC...the cobalt ss that was only a week old with no mods....put 223hp to the wheels...thats pretty damn impressive...I sat in the car last week...and it did feel cheap tho...still...an srt4 feels cheap too but man...hp is awesome for stock...

i'd love to get ones of those...the wing is a bit of the pain due to the blockage of the rear view, but i love the look of 'em....the little brother of the corvette!

I personally loved the looks of the Cobalt SS when I saw it. I would only buy one if I had lots of disposable cash. I couldn't buy one as my first car, just knowing all my hard work and money will be worth so little after 2-3 years because of the resale. If anything the best thing to do is to lease and release this one if your really considering it.

the cobalt is like 24, which isn't bad, but I'd rather spend a little more on a civic si...

it looks sharp...

remember the Ion Redline, and G6 pursuit are all running S/C's as well..

i would rather sport the SRT-4 - now only if they had a 2dr like the first gen neons, i would definately rock it... just face it, everycar nowadays are so powerful.. old cars dont even compare!

i had one for a demoo car when i worked at gm. car is a pretty good car and handles pretty good for a car with a solid rear axle. i think its cuz of the tires pretty nice pirellies.. one down fall i hate with it is the oil filter ....a BITCH to get to if u are doing it your self. and big bucks from gm .... the filter is cheaper aftermarket...other then that nice car quick and refined. its from opel in europe (gms europian division) my girl has the regular cobalt and its a nice car . so yeah go for it !!

the interior is fugly too IMO

i donno... i'd rather spend that cash on a honda might not be as fast, but i'd rather have a nice looking car, with more features, and more reliability, with a nicer interior/exterior, than a car that just goes fast (in a straight line) ... i'm pretty sure the handling isn't the best cuz of the solid rear axle...

thats why they would be nice for a quick lease then dispose of it. Lets not forget its GM's new version of the cavalier, and im sure if anyone has owned one of those they have some good stories to tell

if you want a different car i'll trade you

I meant I'd rather spend the money on a better looking, more reliable car like an Si.
