'The Club'

With all this tlak about stolen cars I wanted to know your opinion of the anti theft device, The Club.

Do you guys think this is an effective deterent for thieves?

Lets be frank, now days in Toronto nobody even pays attention to car alarms anymore.

The Club Might turn away SOME People but the way I see it IF THEY WANT YOUR CAR. THERE GONNA GET IT.

Just cut the Wheel and rip it off. It takes NO time at all.

I'm now looking to get that thing BAT MAN has on the The Club Might turn away SOME People but the way I see it IF THEY WANT YOUR CAR. THERE GONNA GET IT.

only thing the club is going to do is delay the theives another minute or 2...

might discourage the amateur **** disturbers....... but in the long run if someone really wants your car....... you're fucked

my advice...

if you're really worried about your car getting stolen, look into the "boomerang" car recovery system....

its MANDATORY in qubec for cars valued at more then $50,000

its a chip thats implanted in your car somewhere that will send a tracking signal once activated ( once you find out your car is stolen ) its hooked up to GPS, and can penetrate cargo carriers etc.

the average recovery time is about an hour

NO clue on how expensive it is though..... i had a flyer for it..... but i cant find it....

Well I was going to get an alarm system and I opted for club instead. I think it would make them lose more time than an alarm... But your right, if they want your car, they will get it.

So the only way to get the club off is to take the steering wheel off? Can it be sawed through do you know? I heard they saw the actual steering wheel and then slip the club through it. I don't know if that is possible in a short amount of time?

To get the club off you just saw through the steering wheel. Steering wheels are very very thin.

yeah you have to remember steering wheels were meant to be strong enough but yet not strong enough for you got hurt your self when you hit the steering wheel, although it suppose to collapse, but imagine hitting that pretty hard.
i having an momo apache wheel. and that thing feels pretty beefy, but i'm thinking of getting a removable steering wheel hub from techniq.
and about that boomerang, my friend has it in his type r, and someone told me that professionals whom knwo about the boomerang will attack it first and have that boomerang deactivated within minutes. friend of a friend told me because that's what happened to his R, last seen at the back of some constructoin area, but the car was not there. but they do have a new system because i was talking to the sales rep at import fest adn she said taht the new system requires you to use a sensor that is attached to your keychain and when attached the gps system will alert the local authority if the car is not started with the sensor.

but yeah like Rich said, if they really want they'll take it!!!

Get the Club;

an AutoLock brake/clutch lock;

Compustar/Boomerang anti-theft device/tracker;

hidden fuel kill/ignition kill switch;

an anaconda in the front seat (NObody f*cks with a snake!);

never leave the car unattended and sleep on the backseat with a Desert Eagle by your side.

There, you're safe!

forget cutting off the wheel to get the club off

http://www.clubbuster.com/clubbuster.htm

also forget about the autolock too!

i hope the company selling this thing goes bankrupt! those f*ckers!

then again the club is still better than nothing. if there are two identical cars in the parking lot and one has the club and one doesnt, which one do you think the thief will go after?

I got a good one. If you have a momo wheel. Removeable hub, take your steering wheel with you.......that'll throw the f*cker for a loop.

Pager alarm.
That way if someone messes with your car you can run out and beat them.

In addition to what SuperSOHC said.
