lol i couldnt agree more, any car that has an aftermarket stereo is a target for theft. It can be sold for money so regardless of the value , to a thief money is money , anyway oddly because of this break in its the first time ive garaged my car for an entire weekend since i bought it last summer lol wish i could garage her permanently till i got my engine built

This is just another reason why I'm returning my car to stock. Getting bull**** tickets, break-ins, and getting the wrong kind of attention in general.
I'd suggest removing your tint, and getting an alarm. Thieves LOVE tinted cars. If they can look in and see nothing of value, they'll generally leave your car alone.

So you left your faceplate on.....with no tint, and no alarm.... Pretty self explanatory. They didn't have to guess something was inside, they could see it.

Sorry I know how it feels to have your car broken into. It's violating. But the fact that you thought "it could never happen to me" was quite apparent. You didn't take any measures to thwart theives.

yeh it was my fault simply because i left the car in open view . But i never thought someone would want that pos deck that chews thru cds like no other.. meh its ok window and alarm getting purchased this week that and my kamikazi patrols will help eliminate this type of behaviour in the area

jdm.....i wish i read this thread earlier.....I work at Best Buy and I just sent my order in for a new deck.....everything was like 20% off the cost price from the manufacturerer

However as for someone stealing your property, My dad had it happen 1 yr ago...when they try to jack the BMW from inside the garage. It was funny becuase my dad actually heard him break-in......picked up the new aluminum bat i just brought and proceed to kick his %$/*, good thing the cops responded the alarm on the side door

I also live in mississauga, eglinton and mavis

heh yeh thats the best method , street justice , cuz cops put him in jail for a night , he gets bail in court and is out doing **** again , if the thief gets beat to a pulp he will reconsider his profession, and damn about deck lol , its cool tho i will find another for cheap on the boards for now

nothing major , face plate has a bit of scratches near middle etc... and they left the front bracket that goes around the DECK so if they were to install they would need a new one , and a wiring harness , other than that nothing rly
