ya my old size was 185x55x14 i believe, and the new ones are 205x45x16

that tells it...you roll diameter is 5.4% off...way over the recommended 3% range. plus...your speedometer difference is 5.7% too slow...meaning when your needle reads 94.6KM/hour...you are actually going 100KM/h.

Check the following specs for how off you are compared to your stock specs. didnt the guy at the tire shop tell you what your right size should be? i bet your stock size wasnt 185-55-14. The 96-00 civics came with a stock 65 sidewall...how can EGs be 55.
