I don't want to come across as bossy though. Just want details from people so i can hold my end of the bargain. thanks guys for being so awesome and making my job easier. aw group HUG

good work kat.. way to take iniative... I talked to Mark tonight, and he'll be at the pre-meet with us... so ya, good that we can get at least 3 guys, thrill_house if you can make it that would be awsome too.. we could have 2 guys lead, 2 guys in the back, or just 1 in back, 1 in front and then 2 staggered in the middle somewhere..... gimme a shout tomorrow kat regarding the package that those guys sent you and stuff...

also might I stress, HAVE A FRS for the actual day of the event, it'll help tons...

I would love to but I already get really good deals at most car places (through friends) and all the perks to being a member are in Toronto and on weekends. I work weekends and live at least an hour from toronto. SO... I would love to but... it's no fun for me... (exept maybe the sticker)

I have about a dozen pairs of FRS available for me to rent for the day from my moms work if need be. I will bring some to the pre-run meet so we can keep in touch and not spend a million dollars on LD cell phone bills (we all know that happened already when Ed got lost in Niagara Falls) The C7 staff asked if we could keep our pre-meet leaders to a maximum of 3 cars. Just to limit the pack. (there are 35 clubs signed up on the site and if every club brought 3 leaders to pre-run that would be 105 cars... a mini cruise in itself) so if we can decide who is going to pre-run, it would be good. I might get a hotel room on saturday night to avoid having to get up at 6am and drive the 1.5 hours first thing in the morning. So if anyone wants to pre-run party let me know.. lol

Just thought since your being a big help organizing the group for TCC that maybe you would wanna be part of the club. Also being a member isnt just about the deals, its about meeting new people.

Good point. Since I AM being a big help organizing the group and setting a good example for TCC I should get a FREE membership... lol
I know what you mean about meeting people but its too far to drive to most meets. I am making an exception for this one and it will probably cost me a pretty penny in gas and possibly a hotel... all for the love of TCC

Ummm, adding your name on this thread, although nice, isn't the actual place to put it. Please add your name to the list on the C7 website. So, far (as of Kathryn's checking), there are 17 names on there and 23 on the list in this thread and I don't think all the names match. Please add it to the list because there is only 10% leeway. So, if we have 20 people signed up, they will allow only 2 extra people that show up on that day.

If there are only 3 people required, I will be a substitute if Thrill_House can't make it (or if he changes his mind). So, the Leaders are Kathryn (Surfofpink), Ed (SiR_Yo) and Blair (Thrill_House). Substitute: Mark (MY SiR). Does that sound right?

Kathryn,
Thanks for taking the initiative. However, I agree with Chris' point about joining to be an actual member. I know you are putting in time and money into this event, however, being a paid member supports this club in other ways (including website server fees).

Personally, I don't utilize any of the discounts and my stickers are sitting at home. I am a paid member because I want to support this club. Many of us have put in our own time and money into this club and we still pay membership fees. Sorry, if it sounds like preaching, and I didn't mean it that way, but why not support the club? Ed is a paid member. You are working right?

About a hotel, I don't think it is worth staying at one. It might save you an hour of sleep at most. Just go to sleep earlier on Saturday. Didn't you mention your BF lives in Oakville? I used to live in St. Catharines and if you are leaving early in the morning, the QEW is empty. It should take you about an hour to get to Brampton.

I have 2 FRS so, we should be okay for the pre-cruise (If Thrill_House can't make it). As far as the actual cruise, I think there are enough of us with FRS to get by without renting any.

Ed,
I have read the package. It was a nice read .

I am working 2 jobs.. but to afford my 2 cars, my house, my bills, my gas, my food and stuff. I have WAY too many bills in a month. My bank account has been sitting at $11.00 all summer. When I get more money (when I change jobs in October) I may join for next year. I understand what you guys are saying. I really want to join but haven't been able to this year. I try to support with my help while I can't finance the club. Sorry Guys I'm trying

I finally read through this thread and signed up. Looks to be a killer event. As the face of TCC's event team, can get those interested in being the tour leaders to please pm me.

There are a few details that should be covered before you go the pre-tour.

Thanks
