absolutely, we love it when customers come in with car cost canada papers, so we're all on the "same page" you offer what you think is reasonable from invoice, and we see if we can do it... beats people asking for ridiculous amounts off and wasting time

so with all the overhead and salary's of managers and commission for the sales rep you think $100 profit is reasonable?? $500 is like "Friends and Family" pricing.. $100 is just ridiculous

"MSRP for Civic LX w/auto is $22180. The invoice price is $20627"
That is what I have read. I am looking for the same car as well.
I know they will sell for $24400 OTR for sure. If you try harder you may get a better deal.

Ed, is the "Admin Fee ($199-299)" included as part of the dealer's profit calculations?

negotiation is key here but i dont believe in overkill at the same time. as ed said...if you know the dealer cost..thats a good starting point but 100 bucks is a silly low amount to even suggest....you are not buying a made in china treadmill from walmart.

the admin fee is too shady for me...and im sure its optional and not mandatory...unlike the a/c tax and fuel tax. again...you gotta negotiate.

ed..thanks for your email. i will have to call you one of htese days to come and see you in person. 1.5% is too good a rate to pass by.

I agree, negotiation is key, but it's also your sales rep, and how much rapport you have with them. I find it very unethical and bothersome when a customer comes in and I spend 2-3 hours with them going over EVERYTHING they need to know with a car, and then they shop the number at another honda dealership spending 5 mins there just to save $200... it happens more often than not.. Would you (not you specifically szuberi) buy a $30K car in 5 mins from someone that you don't trust from a dealership you've only been to for 5 mins? ... as I said before, at the end of the day people can buy their honda's ANYWHERE ... I'm sure someone could drive to Kingston Honda or whatever and get a car at cost just cuz they wanted to move a unit for their target, but is it worth that time and effort ??

Personally I treat my customers how I want to be treated, and I'd rather have over the top service provided by my sales guy so I KNOW when I'm in a jam that they'll be there for me then to save $200-400 on some guy that will always let me down...

I think its only about $1500 less then the price and I dont think the low finance/lease rates apply to the Si.
