i was looking at cars before the 90's just wanted to know if parts are still available or would i have to bust my *** looking for them

i was specifically looking at nissans anyone know how reliable they are (by reliable i mean will they still break down even with proper mainteance?)

also what year is exempt from etest?

i have a 1989 prelude, most of the time if i needed a part i used to go to the junk yard and ripped it out myself. It may be worth it for u to buy a spare parts car.

1987 and older is exempt is from etest. if the car is 20yrs old or more an appraisal has to be done before registration. as long as you keep up on maintenance it will probably be reliable but every car has its problems and it depends on how you treat it. the rarity of parts depends on the car. a nissan specific board would probably have lots of parts and info about common problems.

My buddy was telling me of some place that deals with 240sx/300zx and some older nissans. Next time I see him ill ask.
