buying a 95 dx

I was looking at a 95 DX auto with 130K for my friend today and we went to test drive it. It was really hard to shift from park to drive. I really had to push in and pull down to make it change.

Also, everytime I changed gears, the car would pop a bit. This was done just sitting there holding the brake down.

Any info or advice of what kind of problems this could cause?

Thanks for the help guys.

Are you still going to buy it? The point of the test drive is to see how the car works and that one obviously DOES NOT RUN PROPERLY. So if you buy it, you're a fool.

I don't know whats wrong with it (dont drive auto) but those trannys aren't the best and its probably been neurtal dropped or had the **** kicked out of it to be doing that at 130K

For the P to D it is the tranny cable which is easy to change. Around $90 for parts. Takes like 25 min to change or less if u have a hoist because u need to get down there. U said that the tranny pops a bit. That i dunno. Maybe the tranny has been abused. Check the tranny fluid see if it's dirty. It is supposed to be red. I would find another car than this car then if it has so much problems and u not sure what the problem is.
