Bodyshops who sponsor?

So i was asked to go to a car show with a team
But my car needs a serious paint job before i'd like to even show my face at a show. Some surface rust needs fixing and a good nice paint job would make the car look mint.

Does anybody know how sponsorship works? I'm not looking to cover my car with stickers i just wouldn't mind some help with this before going in March for the show.

Any input and comments feel free to post.

I know a few people are sponsored so i wanted to hear from waht they had to say and maybe see how much it saves you in the bank.

so you're basically just after free or discounted body work/paint job?

Well isn't that what sponsoring is?
Getting name out and by doing so showing your work on the car?

Its not like i'm not attending shows, and showing off the work i'm just asking does anybody do it?

Who else wants to put stickers on there car for no reason? except ricers?

Originally my plan was to paint it anyways but not in march, so because of the earlier push date i was seeking for sponsorship in stead because my winter plans were to save up for other parts and paint job.

Just a question

Good luck, I've been after a sponsorship for a long time, and still the only one I have is Meguiar's, you have to put the money into, and a lot at that to get a sponsorship.... which team you showing with?

Its not 100% sure my buddy called me this morning and FukenRice asked or so he says
I was just asking to see if its even possible.

I've never even done this stuff so i'm asking around
input would be nice and i'm sure there are people who would be interetsed and that would probably help out for the shows

Then shouldn't you be asking for sponsorship from a fukenricing sponsor? I don't think a TCC vendor will sponsor somone sowing with another club.

Yeah I didnt think so, I was just clarifiying if anyone asked. You still might get some helpasking TCC vendors though. They get publicity either way.

Paint and bodywork can be tough for sponsorship. You would probably have to offer more than attending shows for it.

i would not look into getting sponsored by a body shop directly rather try to get a company to give u money for putting there name on the car then get the body work done with that money just a thought

you wont get a bodyshop sponsor. any shop that is doing so would be retarded to give you one. either they are desperate or your still loosing out on the deal by giving them ad space.

in order for a shop to sponsor you for bodywork and paint your car would have to be custom not a plain looking car with jdm mods which basically equals stock. if you had i would say 100 thousand into your car with alot of it being custom you have a higher chance of getting a sponsor then in the state you are in now.

reason being your car doesnt attract attention. 99 percent of the people out there dont know the mods that are done on a jdm car other then the "jdm community" that being said your car is not eye catching which basically equals no publicity. also the fact that your car is a daily driver doesnt help either because of things like stone chips, fade etc... which basically messes up the paintjob which gives the shop a bad name if someone was to see it thinking the shp screwed up.
