Autoshow review

Huge this year. Reportedly, as large as Detroit (?). Some great new models (Lambo, Ferrari, Maserati, Infiniti come to mind).

Everybody seems to have a new SUV, including Nissan, Infinti, VW, Volvo, etc...

Highlights: Nissan Murano, new Nissan Maxima, new Infiniti SUV (awesome), Land Rover V6 Freelander, esoteric section was fantastic, Mazda style (not substance), rear of the Accord coupe (direct rip of Mercedes, but great nonetheless!), engineering of new the Enzo Ferrari model, Volvo and Mercedes display, seeing Daquel's gorgeous ride in the 'Sho Zone', plus tons of other stuff.

Lowlights: food prices, everything from Toyota (WTF is happening to that company?!!!), Jaguar sedans (really bad ergonomics, hideously overpriced, and owned by Ford), BMW's blah display (but not the cars:-), the cheapness of most American products and the designers' innate inability to come up with anything resembling sophistication, inside of the new Mazda 6, the mediocrity of the Honda design team (sorry friends), and the low end Mercedes (looks like a Focus inside) and the E Series (German taxicabs:-).

Apologies if I've offended anybody's ride or dream car, but it's just how I saw it.

Going again today. Hope to see some of the gang there.

Dream car -- Maserati Cambiocorsa convertible in black with tan leather. Christ!

Worst of Show -- Tie between Toyota Echo and Mercedes C230 (35 grand of crap)

the fact that TCC was represented at the show by daquel was awsome.... when i walked up there was a group of ppl standing around your car in awe..... good job buddy!!!

i talked to the guy @ tint king..... and he said he can do my car for $100

all in all good show

Never going to the CIAS ever again. Import shows 4 me.

'..worst show ever', '...sucked big-time ***'!!!

Unsure why the criticism. The show was huge, tons of auto vendors, mini show zone, loads of concepts, hundreds of new models and for 18 bux (or less, if you caught a group buy, or free, even:-). A no-brainer, I would have thought!

i dont like the way subaru has re-designed impreza's......... BUT the Sti which will be out in june does come VERY well equipped from the dealership...... 16 or 17" BBS rims, brembo brakes, nice exhaust, and a nice interior.....

mazda 6=

they should be fun to test drive

I drove up from Blo to see the show, and thought it was good. Especially compared to our Auto Show.

My only beef is no EVO?

Thanks for the compliment! I'm sure we could have put your car in the dome and it would have been that much better!
