Auto or Stick?

Just wondering how many people out there drive automatic or standard on their daily driver.

IMO, the only ones worth driving are the ones that actually shift when you tap the paddle, as in Ferrari's, VW's dsg etc...not 2-3 seconds after you tap the paddle. lol.

My 2 cents.

I wouldn't mind an auto for daily driving. A lot of newer cars now have intelligence where it learns how you drive so you can teach it to kick down when you barely press the gas instead of having to tromp it to get it to kick down. A lot of them also have a 'sport mode' where it kicks down quicker. they're also putting more gears in em too. Like lexus' 7 spd tranny...lol. And most others are 5 spds which makes quite a bit of difference.

All the cars I have owned have been standard. I hate it during stop and go traffic.

I own an auto but I've never actually put that car on the road. All the rest were standard, including the one I still drive

Cool

I gotta say that I was an auto man to begin with considering I was lucky enough to have my parents hand me down 1990 Pontiac Sunbird 4dr. I eventually moved into an even weaker 1994 Nissan Sentra, also auto. I finally graduated into my civic which is stick. It really has turned into a love/hate. I live/work in downtown Toronto and driving stick has turned into more of a headache then anything else.

The traffic is just super frustrating. 1st to 2nd... brake. Ride first for a sec, brake. Move an inch, brake. OMG NO! I think it's time for my *** to head back to auto, the sheer convenience will put me at ease.
