Thats just what happens when you put to much trust into certain people that our supposed to follow by the rules. Being a "trsuted Vendor". How do you just get a title like that and not be reliable. Im not going to bash TCC cuz its been somewhat good to me but that is why most thought he was highly trust worthy

Back on the previous TCC forums, there is 0 doubt about it.. he was reputable, and did good work. There was many that would vouch for him, and he was an affiliate who was quite busy with work.

As much as I thought he was a shady guy, I was still surprised to find out about this whole story.

Just an FYI. Going in to small claims court and getting a judgment is a very useful item. Once you have it, you can progress the case and if he doesn't respond to the claims you can eventually get a bench warrant put out on him and if he gets pulled over the warrant will come up and he will be detained. Then the real fun begins.

^That was a very shortened version of proceedings but I went through this exact same thing when I lent someone money and they decided to skip town. He ended up spending 10 days in jail and I was able to garnish his wages once he was located and detained!

PM me if you want specific details and I can help you setup the court filings. (I work in a law firm and I'm prelaw) I hate scammers and would like to do my part to help a fellow tuner who got taken advantage of.

Hey I feel bad for anybody who gets ripped off over anything. But that being said when Im trusting somebody with one of my cars and a large amount of money I do my homwork and make sure I have the right person for the job.
TCC never put a gun to anybodys head and said only do buisness with this guy, so I don't no how anybody can blame them. The guy obviously fooled a'lot of people including not only TCC and others but your'self included.
It just shows you the level of "douchness" this guy really has.

guess you didnt really understand. He was the right person for the job at ONE point, then things went bad. So its not that ppl didnt do their hmw. It could happen to anyone and by anyone regardless of "hmw" or not hmw.

i got a new front bumper + paint and he did a wicked job and i even recommended him after he did my car. Then a few months later this comes up. It jus kinda sucks that it happened and that he had some much business he couldnt manage properly and went all shady.

Like I said you should have done your homework!
Why would I take my car to some kid who is trying to make a name for himself and probaly charging way cheaper then anybody'else out there??
Go to somebody who has been established and who has been around a'while.
I don't no what to tell you, I never cheap out on any car I've owned. You should'nt cheap out on your cars bodywork.

I do not know if you were on TCC when TR was a vendor, but he was not charging cheaper.... He was actually quite expensive but had a high quality of work. He was highly recommended by members here and actually had quite the reputation. In my personal dealings with him/his friends, I would never have done business with him but there is no doubt that he was a respected/trusted member on here for quite a while. When I read the story, I was surprised that it happened (such a long respected member), but then the more I think about what kind of character him and his friends are... I am not all that suprised.

I really hope you can recoup some of your losses fa1se...

Im getting closer and closer. I will keep everyone upto date. I know I'll eventually find him. Im waiting to hear back about papers for small claims and when I have a day off Im going to Scarbrough to the police station and he will be getting charged with theft of my car. I wanted to give up, but I cant let him get away with this. I have to do something. As for a new project all my funds were tied up in this one. Which I am still paying for and have nothing to show.

sorry to hear about this...

When did you drop off your car to his shop? I'm guessing it was late 2008?

I'm assuming you tried stopping by his house more than once?

Good luck man, I hope you find this *****.

Early 2007 ya never answered the door. I was there several times. Havent been down there lately. Ya he is a ***** and when I have time to goto court I will. He's a dirty POS and will get what is coming to him. As I stated early I wish more people would have told the horror stories before taking my car there. Im sure someone has seen this guy around somewhere.

Its been awhile since Ive been on here and I do believe that Importfest or some other show was on in Toronto on soome weekend. Maybe he was there with his white acura or his silver civic or perhaps my ****ing car lol. Well hope to hear something from somebody.

Thanks
Barry

Guy has to ***** to show his face. And not enough $$ to leave the country. He was in mad debt I heard. No one he moves shops and his phone numbers died. Im waiting to time off work to head down and goto small claims. My car is reported stolen even though its prolly in 1000 parts. And they will be on the look out for him. Hopefully he gets pulled over or perhaps in a accident.

Id appreaciate any updates for anyone and also is anyone lives in Scarbrough and is close to Crow Trail Id like to see if hes still living there.

Ughhhhhhhhh

Good to read that you'll finally get your car back after this long ordeal. Been a frustrating time, would be great to see all this stuff put behind you.
