yea they are pretty nice.. I m actually a member of the toronto mazda 3 club...

I know that it will make more sense to mod the mazda 3 since its newer but trust me if you own one then you ll know what i mean .. Specially if you own a tiptronic..

There isnt as much aftermarket support , parts tend to be expensive and honestly you can not do much because the car is aleady loaded...

thats nice ... 300 is a lot at the wheels but if you got someone thats knows their stuff then you are all set..

I m planning on swaping my engine for a GSR ... Or maybe just do a mini me and turbo it ... But 300 is a little high for me , i ll be happy to pull 200 HP at the wheels...

Maybe we should do a track day next year , it will be fun

Actually both you noobs are wrong... this was not the Mazda 3 club beside us at C7... its quite clear to see they aren't even Mazda 3s lol. the TM3 group meet at the AMC across the parking lot.

Rick10, I am also a member of TM3, your wrong about saying their isn't much aftermarket support. There is a lot actually, your probably just comparing it to the aftermarket world with honda and acuras. You can do a lot to a Mazda 3... and since your a member on the board you should know that

There isnt as much support as honda..

Plus there isnt much you can do to a mazda 3 to really make it stand out.. I seen some heavy mod mazda 3s and they dont look much different than stock.

There isnt much mods you can do to the engine since they all have the same 2.3 and 2 liter engine ... Unless you want to put a turbo like the speed 3 but that will cost you a lot of money

Not only that but the aftermarket parts for mazda are almost non existant ..

I had to replace my muffler and nobody has an aftermarket muffler for mazda except for the dealers which BTW cost 1000 bucks .. Not only that i had to change a few parts and the only place i could get those parts were at the dealer...

It sure has more aftermarket support than a corolla but its nowhere near the level of honda , acura ...

I own civic ek and man there is so many options outthere...

And yes you are right the hatchback is a protege

Just dont get me wrong , i like my mazda 3 but i have not desire to modify , maybe the standar tinting , lower ... Even the stock rims are nice

Another thing i dont really like about mazda 3s is that there are tons of them now , everyone has a mazda 3 ... I could say the same for honda but EKS , EGS are becoming somewhat more rare and like i said you can do so much to them that is more fun to play with...

Actually Vibrant makes a muffler but I know what you mean about the price. I dunno I still have to disagree with you though about 'not much you can do to make them stand out'... I think there is a lot you can do.. but I guess thats just my own opinion. I've seen a lot of mazda 3 that look awesome.

But ya Mazda 3 are kinda like the new civics they are everywhere haha
