I bought a bone stock 2000 red sir from parkway honda last week $14000 even plus i went with an extended warrenty for 3 years 60000kms which was just under $2000 i was in a jam and probaly could have found a cheaper one privately but I just needed a car and financing was the only choice I had , my car had 104km and change when I picked it up and the thing is absolutly mint minus a few scratches on the outside. I dont know if this helps you at all but all the ones I looked at in dealerships , were usually alot more money or even more km then mine which to be honest i kinda thought was a little high , my vin proved 100% accident free and was one owner but i recomend and magnet in pocket because vins only tell you what people claim not what they fix thereselves...... hmmm come to think about it I guess I can finally become a paid member sweet

That's a sweet deal 'proof' I haven't really checked out any SiR lately. I just been a little busy with work/sick to really check out any SiR models. I know there's some over priced SiR on http://www.autotrader.ca at some local dealers in the GTA. Also there's some really cheap SiR from body shops ($10,000 yeah right).

I never really thought about dealer finance for an older car.

bought it from the HALTON honda dealership, got a sweet deal and traded a Cavalier with a lien of 6500 bucks paid off for this car...

HAHAHA...... sick deal if u ask me... car runs strong...
the person who owned it did everything done at honda....
like little tire wear alot of miscellaneoous stuff etc......
its milano red... bought it in november with 55,800kms now it has 71,000kms ( hwy )

p.s the person who owned it was a mature driver... e was 55 years old... yah babay........ so i had to baby it for a bit b/c i wasnt sure if he revved it into VTEC engagement... just had to becareful with the cylinder walls...

but now everything is cool
Runs very strong.

Finally checked out another SiR today.

Here are the details so far

00, Red, just under 86,000K, a few scratches on the outside front bumper(minor). Dealer said it had some body work done to the rear right 1/4 panel (accident?). He stated it first... before I notice the right rear sticker missing. Tires are almost new.

asking price $16000 or $320ish/m

I just had about 1/2 hr to kill after a trip to bank before I had to be back for work. I decided to quickly check out my local Honda dealership. I saw the SiR right out front. Took it for a quick test drive. WoW. Nice.

Oh.. when does Vtec kick in? 3500 or 4300 rpms? I didn't notice it if it engaged. Is vtec really noticable?

Hopefully it's still around on Wednesday and I'll check that one more and hopefully a few down in Toronto area as well.

Vtec engages @ 5700RPM for the USDM B16a2

my personal experiences.
I love this car... its basically 6 grand cheaper then what i was looking out for ( that was a TYPE R ) but i was happy, it was DOHC VTEC... it's peppy, it's loaded....... Honda's best selling civic and nicely done....

i love it, and wouldnt trade it for anything in the world..

you will notice with a SIR, that the shifter rattles like it has motor mounts..... but its normal.... all i gotta say is.... A CIVIC WITH 160HP is good in my opinion.... motor has alot of potential.......

good luck finding one...
hope you find a good one and be good to it.....

It was the same one from the post above. Excellent vehicle, and excellent dealership I'm dealing with.

warranty is for peace of mind.

I know a few people that used the extended warranty to make it worth it.

warranty...... i turned it down... to buy my car... didnt need the extended b/c i knew i was going to play around with my motor so the warranty which will VOID is useless unless HONDA installs it........

so i opted for CAA!!!

i bought my car at parkway and i asked for the warrenty , how can i be a sucker , I talked to the service manger and he told me there would be no problems with the warranty vioding if I did all the mods I planned to do and star boys right its totally piece of mind. besides for $2000 I got full coverage , and anything i ever need replaced free minus maintence stuff or I could have got what some headers and a set of seats..hmmmm not such a tough decision afterall.

CONGRATS on the purchase starboy I hope you enjoy it for years to come.

Warrenty will give me peace of mind for the next three yrs or 60,000kms. After the 3yrs hopefully I'll have enough cash saved for a B18C5 or H22.
