92 DX vs 92 SI

Hey just wondering
in a race who would win... 92 dx hb or a 92 si hb
i know there is a hb difference... but with a good driver in the dx would i be able to take him??

both are basically stock except for I/E (CAI for me)

depends on the drivers, but with equal driver obviosly the Si, it has v-tec, 20 hp more and a few lbs of torque...the weight difference is not that big...

I did a side by side hwy run with my friend in his 92 dx and it was a dead heat. Mind you we were both loaded the same, we both had 3 passengers.

I pulled him into the higher rpm a little but not anything to write home about.

Maybe off the line the vtec would do something but its all power to weight ratio.

Who knows.

i have a 93 Si hatch and i've never found a dx anything that could compete.... they have way less power (20+hp is a lot in hondas)... way longer gears.... mind you my car is quite light for a 5th gen....

i doubt that....

if a dx beats an Si then the driver of the Si should be driving a pinto and is a disgrace to honda

well that isn't the car winning its the driver.... cause cx's have even less hp then a dx... must be pretty embarassing to loose in an Si to a cx

CX and DX's have the same horse power in Canada. Only the states got an amazing 72hp CX haha

My Si was quick... I could take CX & DX hatches, as well as 96-02 Si coupes easily. The only engine mod my car had was an axle-back exhaust hehe

Man I miss that car...
