Hey TCC,

Just wanted to the opinions of members. I was just wondering, with $5 grand, what would you pick up and why?

Factors to consider, performance, practical, looks, reliability, etc.

2001 Civic Si coupe
1998-2000 Integra
1998-2000 EK Hatch

Cheers.

Another DC integra to go along with the one I have right now, but would most likely buy a 5.0L mustang notchback.

I recently picked up an 01 civic si for $4000 with low km if you can find something like that and then add that extra $1000 in mods you can get it looking and performing pretty good I think.

OP, DO NOT DO THIS!!!

EM2 are the worst for modability. you will have almost no options and be hamstrung by the poor suspension design.

with $5k, you can get a swapped EK/DC. It would be MUCH faster and handle MUCH better than an EM2 (even a modded one)

there are a lot of people selling swapped cars for cheap on the SITE THAT SHALL NOT BE NAMED. I suggest you take a look there. quick list:
- eg with CTR $5000
- 1.6 EL with LS swap $4000
- b20 Integra $3700

tonnes of options for lesss than $5k

if OP's looking for torque, then:
1. shouldn't be looking at a HOnda
2. shouldn't be looking to spend $5,000 on an import

Yeah, don't need too much torque. Just looking for a good, reliable daily driver. If it has SOME performance that's just a plus. Fuel economy is nice though.

How efficient are B20 civics and integras?
