2000 PRELUDE VS 2001 Celica

in the market for a new ride after winter, and after i sell my civic.

Narrowed it down to the 2000 prelude and 2001 celica..got about a 15000$ budget..

it would be the base prelude and the celica gt!

wat do u guys think...i kno the lude is faster without a doubt, but not a huge dealf or me..im more about looks and im really likeing the celi now..

wat should i go for..

plz keep in mine in 20 and insurance is killer, and i think the celi will be a bit less then the lude

I'd say the Celica... call it a chick car if you want but the Prelude isn't any "manlier" of a car

not that slow, 180hp and is the same engine used in the lotus elise (but the elise is light as fawk) Id still take the celica over the prelude because the celica's got a better engine

i would say LUDE!
unless you're getting the older celica 4wd turbo! hahaha....

but your case is all about looks...
so i would still say LUDE... don't you think LUDE has the more QUICKER look?
i can't say the celi doesn't have the sporty look, but it looks more like a BIG SLOW WIDE TRY-TO-LOOK-MEAN type thing... you know... i wouldn't say its a chick car, but its like a car for people that they feel if the car is wider, bigger, its safer... get what i'm saying?.... the lude's longer looking and more narrow body with its aggressive look... it looks more like you're a cool dude... that's how i feel...

Jus cuz something has 180hp doesnt mean its fast. My cousin has a celica GTS. I've been in one, and its slow as ****.

ya..speed is not really in issue with me..i drive a 97 cx h/b..anything is fast for me after i drive that..haha

but anyways..

dont u guys agree for a 2000 lude the interior looks lke ***??? like i cant get over it..looks as pathetic as my 1997 ek..

when i look at the celi interior..its much more modern and up with the times..

just my 2 cents

Lude 4 sure...all you need to do is to drop the *** out of it and after that it just looks mean as hell

that's besides the point...the engine cover looks better

you should make a post like this in different forums. Obviously since most of us are honda lovers, we are going to say the prelude.

Both cars are decent.. in the end I would stick with the lude because I don't like how celica's look.

Honestly, I would choose the Prelude...looks better overall....personally, I think the Celica went down hill after '93 when it comes to looks.
