Beyaz, worry about this crap once you actually by a car. Right now, just focus on frinding a nice ride, in good shape, the colour you want, the mileage you want, etc etc etc. Then worry about finding a new front end on eBay.

after reading thread from honda tech it doesn't seem worth it any more... anyother way around it... to change the front end? I don't really want to weld or anything.. I figured it would be purley bolt in..
of course i'm waiting to get a car, but i would like to have plans in advance and be organized. I don't want to rush into anything or do anything stupid..

By law the dealer must tell you if the car has been into an accident but!!! how do they know if it hasnt been into an accident and the previous owner paid outta there pocket? they dont and when a salesman tells me it hasnt i dont believe a word he says. Check every body panel for paint runoff, rubber seals for overspray, pitted glass from welding, pop off some interior pieces to see if colours match, closely look at the airbags to see if they "look" outta place, check every piece of glass on the car (if it doesnt say "honda" on it, its been changed), look all over the car for any overspray. My first car was a 2000 civic and was in a major wreck from what i gathered. All glass was pitted from the inside, airbags looked outta place, and all the exterior lights were not stanley (OEM). I was only 17 and didnt know **** but am well prepared to buy another car
Once you start looking at $6000 98 Civic Si I can almost guarantee that the car has been fawked around with one way or another. So when you looking at a used car keep a very close eye on some of the stuff i mentioned above and ask the owner about it, if he is straight up and tells you about it then good, but if he says oh i dunno then jus walk away and look elsewhere. I tried looking at alot of these "cheap" hondas in toronto, scarborough and that area and all i gotta say is stay the fack away because there are assloads of scammers around there.

Also, once it receives a theft recovery title it'll be impossible to sell in the future.

Theft recovery cars can be beaten to hell and back, so there could be suspension issues, frame issues if it got in any kind of accident. Generally the interiors are completely stripped as well. Hard to find a theft recovery that only has a missing engine.

salvage branded cars get sold easier.
there are too many dealers doing this too its so common to buy salvage cars and sell it that its the best money maker right now.
theft recovery cars with engines missing usually do not get beaten the hell out of because 1 they are stolen and not taken for a join ride they were taken to get the motor out so time is a major factor. two when buying a theft recovery u can alway look inside and see if everythign is inside.
