1.7 EL ugly wood
I am looking to get the 1.7 EL. Unfortunately with the package I want it comes with an ugly wood grain finish. The salesman said I get get something else but they would have to get someone in to put in aftermarket. Is it better to let the dealership change the accent in the car or go to a shop to get it done after getting the car?

If dealership installs ANYTHING aftermarket and it affects another part (like causing it to fail)... they won't cover it under warranty.
For example... If you get the dealership to install a cold air intake... and because they installed it wrong (or right), and it sucks up a bogger or something.. and your engine blows up.. warranty will NOT cover it.
If you get your dealership to install aftermarket springs and shocks, and your control arm bends (or something like that), warranty will NOT cover it.
Dash trim.. I don't see what warranty it would affect anyways.. so Just say do it yourself or let the dealer do it.
