Wheel/tire size question!!
Hey everyone,
I have a 2002 acura rsx (base model) and I just purchased a set of the dc5 integra type r wheels. My question is, would 225/45 R17 tires fit on these rims with out any rubs? If so, do I need to use spacers? The tire that came with the rims are 215/45 R17's, which I beleive is the OE size tire. I would really like to go a bit wider, and 225 seem like the perfect width. Any advise would be great. Thanks, :) |

:) All in all, you can choose what ever tire width will fit on a given rim. The most important thing is to make sure the overall tire diameter remains as close to the stock tire diameter as possible. |
Use a tire calculator to compare the sizes. But my suggestion would be reduce the profile. 225/40r17 would be better.
