Wheel/tire size question!!

Hey everyone,

I have a 2002 acura rsx (base model) and I just purchased a set of the dc5 integra type r wheels. My question is, would 225/45 R17 tires fit on these rims with out any rubs? If so, do I need to use spacers? The tire that came with the rims are 215/45 R17's, which I beleive is the OE size tire. I would really like to go a bit wider, and 225 seem like the perfect width.

Any advise would be great.

Thanks,

You will find the answers to the question you are asking here, via use of the search button.

All in all, you can choose what ever tire width will fit on a given rim. The most important thing is to make sure the overall tire diameter remains as close to the stock tire diameter as possible.

Use a tire calculator to compare the sizes. But my suggestion would be reduce the profile. 225/40r17 would be better.
