Do not grease the pads with WD40!!!
The only thing you should be "lubing" (brake lube) is the brake pins and other components.
your pads should have come with some brake lube. Use that for the back of the pads (metal part) where it touches the caliper. Also use it where the pad touches the sliders (ears of the pad).
Some pads will squeek for the first 400km until the top surface is gone. If its a metal scraping noise it could also be your backing plate touching the rotor.

Yes they will be hard to take off, because the heat from braking heats the metal up and expands and shrinks the metal. If you put them on as tight as you can get them, they should be fine. I only use a 1/2" ratchet when putting on the calipers bracket.
