Hey sorry for triple posting but I'm noticing a squeak kinda noise when I break and just realized that I didn't grease the pads =<

would wd40 solve this or do I have to redo everything and get grease?

You can throw some grease on there if you want, it won't take you very long. Mine did the same thing, but quickly went away after driving it for a bit.

Do not grease the pads with WD40!!!

The only thing you should be "lubing" (brake lube) is the brake pins and other components.

your pads should have come with some brake lube. Use that for the back of the pads (metal part) where it touches the caliper. Also use it where the pad touches the sliders (ears of the pad).

Some pads will squeek for the first 400km until the top surface is gone. If its a metal scraping noise it could also be your backing plate touching the rotor.

Good luck

Tights tight imo (excluding bolts with gaskets or like flywheels). I mean you should give them a good final tightening but a ratchet is sufficient unless you are super weak. Im sure its fine.

Yes they will be hard to take off, because the heat from braking heats the metal up and expands and shrinks the metal. If you put them on as tight as you can get them, they should be fine. I only use a 1/2" ratchet when putting on the calipers bracket.

And if you are super weak you can use a pipe that you put over the ratchet, but again, don't wanna snap the bolt.
