So got a CSX Loaner today from the dealership...

and let me say GAWD DAMN I miss my TSX...

not to say that it's not a nice little car but I would've far preferred to have my old EK to the new CSX... the stock suspension leaves a lot to be desired, it's 'firm' but not responsive... so you feel bumps but when you turn or switch lanes the car still rolls alot..

I guess it's not purely apples to apples because I've been lowered in teins for the past year, but the first 5 or 6 months with the stock susp in the car felt way better than this.

A few other things I don't like are the fact that the heat **** is right below the stereo ****... not super confusing after a while but at first it had me turning the heat up instead of turning the volume up...

also the mock 'dsg' is pretty crappy and not responsive at all yeah that definitely shocked me

the size of the car also takes a bit of getting used to, as you are seemingly super close to the front bumper with the extended dash/windsheild...

it has great visibility tho, and the speedo is located perfectly and easy to see when you're driving.

and the engine gets real loud even before hitting vtec, although you do feel a little bit of vtec when it kicks in, vs my civic that all it did was scream louder but pull the same...

I miss feeling vtec...

Probably the CSX type S would have been much better.

The Type S is our version of the US Civic 4 door Si, so I would suspect the suspension would be different and the power.

Yeah I feel with those options prices are gonna go up... altho our dollar is stronger maybe it's a better time to go to the states to buy..

got a bit better taste on the drive back to the stealership... the shifting is smooth I'll give it that, and the dash layout is nice to look at, appealing to the eyes... also the quality of the seats is definitely better than the EL used to be... altho no lumbar so that sucks, cuz the EL used to have lumbar...

8K is a big jump bro. that's the difference between having a CSX and a CBR or just a TSX.

Yeah but if you mod your car, new rims, new susp, etc, that can EASILY add up to 8K in no time...

heck a set of nice rims and tires can run you about 3k...

mind you a CBR is nice ...

Si engine, tranny, suspension, HIDs, leather, NAVI, 17" CTR wheels. Not alot for the $7000 price difference over an Si.

its not surprising to see lackluster sales of the CSX-S due to incredibly rediculous $33.4K price tag..thats a few grand short of the tsx.

Yeah, the difference though is the badge that makes it that price unfortunately.

yeah... brand always has alot to do with it...

Go figure... I really feel like the 4dr Si should've been a honda product... not an Acura...

How much is an Si only $21K? interesting.

Yeah, more interesting now with everything at par. Would be interesting to see if anyone from Canada grabs one of the 1000 produced Mugen edition Si's..........

Can I say interesting anymore times in a sentence? Interesting.......

The 4DR Si is a Honda product. As a matter of fact you can get one at your nearest Honda dealership for far less than the CSX Type S.

ah my bad, I forgot the 4dr SI existed now... well in that case revise my statement to say it should STAY a honda brand and never have moved over to CSX type s...

I think the CSX is alright...although when you load it up, it gets a little expensive for what it is...

If you had a non type s CSX, it has the K20Z2, which is basically the same as the K20A3 in the Civic SiR. It doesn't have real i-VTEC. Basically, it runs on 12 valves until 2,200RPM, then switches to 16valve mode. What you are hearing around 5,000RPM is the motor entering it's peak power zone(power band).

... The CSX doesnt have a DSG, it's just a manually selected auto.
It's not even close to a DSG. Hence why it wasnt responsive, it's just an automatic transmission.
