o2 sensor replacement

I drive a 1997 Acura 1.6 EL

Hi there, I think this is the right place for this post. I was interested in replacing my oxygen sensor (both of them as the car is throwing numerous codes) and was wondering which if any aftermarket generic (they are just much cheaper) O2 sensors would fit.

Will this one fit?

and if it would (as advertised) does anybody know the schematics for the stock wire plug? Primary and secondary sensors.
also does my car have the same motor and transmission as a 5spd 1997 honda civic? D16Y8?

Yes, you have the same engine transmission as the vtec civic from 1996-2000 [excluding the SIR]

Last o2 sensor i changed for Vida [member on here] i sent him to Cawthra automotive in Mississauga and he got NTK o2 sensor for 90$ or so, imo its a great price, and sensors are good. NTK is just re-branded NGK, quality o2 sensors. Wouldn't really go for no name cheapo o2 sensors, because most likely you will be replacing them again sooner than you think.

for my pre cat I'll go for the NTK but why do you guys say the others go quickly? Reason I'm being stubborn is because its an older car and I'm just repairing things here and there. Theres a code for high voltage on the secondary O2 and the "O" symbol on my scan tool (INNOVA) flashes which means that the primary O2 sensor did not diagnose or something. That and it looks old.

Sounds cheap I know but I'd rather buy the two for the price of one. With all that in mind, why are you guys so pro for the NTK's?

Rear: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NGK-N...#ht_1765wt_976

Front: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NGK-N...#ht_1765wt_976

60+110 = 170 vs. 40+40= 80$

just curious...

I bought two of the generic ones... I haven't even installed them and I already regret buying them. When I was going through the FSM to figure out what wires would go where, I found that the rear sensor goes from 0 to .6 volts and the front goes from 0 to 1.0volts. Who knows what the hell these ones range from? They both are the same and therefore cannot go in without the engine light staying on. Bad Buy.

Anybody need two generic O2 sensors?

I wish I got the ones Derick posted instead. Oh well.
