A friend of mine has a 2001 acura integra special edition with an eletronic trunk release. Her mechanic told her that the trunk latch was broken and that Acura was going to charge 350.00 for a new one, plus 100$ for labour.

My question is this, I have found a wreckers with a 99 Acura Integra and he says the trunk is the same but he's not sure about the latch.

Will the latch from a 99 Acura Integra fit on an 01 Acura integra?

If anyone knows a wreckers that has a trunk latch for a 2001 Acura Integra Special Edition then that would be fine too... Either or, just post the info here so I can begin calling around.

as far as I know they do. I know that the electric actuated trunks have a small rectangular button on the upside of the trunk handle opening...I guess if they both possess the button, then it can work.
