2003 CRV vs. 2003 Element

Just wondering if there are any owners of these cars around for some feedback. Looking at buying one of these 2 in the next couple of weeks.
My thoughts so far,

Looks-wise - I love the Element, panels painted or not I think it looks great. The CR-V looks out of proportion and front end is hideous IMO.

Drive-train - seems to be identical -k24

Interior- I dont mind the fact that element has no carpet, etc and the dynamic of the it will prove useful when I haul crap around but reviews suggest very noisy cabin (not what I want from an SUV).

shoot me input!

I also find the 2000 Lexus RX330 intriguing.

depends on your needs - if you're gonna have a lot of passengers - esp. kids, then the element is a pain with those suicide doors.

element's rear seats are also a pain because the 3rd passenger is 1/2 on one seat, 1/2 on the other because of how they split... not even sure if you can fit a 3rd passenger that way comfortably

i've sat in both, the element feels like a BUS, imo... the windshield is so far from your face

my 2cents

Since The E is just a four seater if you need five go for the CRV.They both have the same basic drive train. For utility go for the E.For convienence of getting in and out of the back seat the CRV is more practical.I have owned 2 E's over the last 4 years and i love them.More than enough space in the back to haul stuff and decent on gas.
