Installing coil over sleeves onto OEM shocks how to?

Installing the sleeves for a friend and ive never installed coil sleeves before lol. So first of all you take out the strut blah blah ok now to the dissassemble and assembly stage. OK so take off the spring and then ASSEMBLY is were im stuck! His kit came with a bunch of rubber O-rings and 4 metal o-rings? im just wondering were these go? and ive also read that you have to cut the bump stops in half and leave the thicker part on? can someone give me a step by step into the assembly of the coilover sleeve to OEM shock thanks! Also theres these rubber tops that came with the coil over sleeves do i use them with assembly or not?

Ya i am a complete noob at doing things the wrong way ive usually done spring/shock combos or complete coilover setups. All help would be appreciated thanks

It says on the diagram "split sleeve slides OVER O-ring".

The rubber O-ring is meant to be a cushion between the sleeve and the shock absorber. If you didn't have that O-ring the sleeve would rattle up and down the entire shock absorber.
