2013 Honda Accord Hybrid
What's New for 2013
The 2013 Honda Accord will be fully redesigned.
Introduction
As with Toyota's Camry, don't look for the fully redesigned 2013 Honda Accord sedan to stray far from traditional design. Artist sketches and renderings hint at an Accord with a slightly shorter, stockier profile, with sharper lines and abrupt angles. A recent concept version of the coupe model -- it will debut at the Detroit auto show -- suggests that Honda may take a few more styling chances with the two-door.
Engine choices will likely remain the base 2.4-liter four-cylinder and 3.5-liter V6 option, both with slightly increased horsepower. We also expect Honda to finally offer a six-speed automatic transmission to help push the four-cylinder's fuel economy closer to 40 highway mpg.
But the bigger news is a new plug-in hybrid system expected to debut on the 2013 Accord. Honda revealed the technology at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show, noting that it would be integrated into a midsize sedan platform. We expect an Accord plug-in hybrid to use an electric motor in conjunction with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine, and be good for about 15 miles on battery power alone.

Whoa! It looks pretty good. Makes me excited for this. But I want to see more pictures of this next generation Honda family sedan. I specifically like its LED tail lamps.
