2013 Ford Mustang grabs the spotlight at Los Angeles auto show
With a range-topping 650 hp, an alternative rock band and Carroll Shelby, the updated lineup of the 2013 Ford Mustang officially debuted on Tuesday night in Los Angeles at a glitzy event the night before the West Coast's spotlight auto show.
The Shelby GT500 was the star attraction, even with the blindingly yellow Boss 302 and convertible variants alongside. With an increase of 100 hp, the latest edition of the GT500 won praise even from its legendary namesake.
"I think it's the greatest Mustang that's ever been built," the 88-year-old legend told the crowd at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles, after being introduced by Ford sales and marketing chief Jim Farley.

Whoa! This is a great looking car. A friend got the chance to test drive this and been boasting about it. The only thing he can say is that its very rewarding driving this car. This is probably the best and fastest car Ford has ever built. I just can't wait to buy this car and put this on my garage.
