alright i saw in your name that you have a 95 civic hatch
at that year itd be cheaper and less stress to buy a 5 speed car
but if your adamant JUST for the conversion your looking at 1000 bucks for parts and labour (all parts used and mechanic haggled)

I bought a complete parts car (94 SI coupe) for $400. $200 for air compressor/specialty tools, maybe $50 in supplies and $150 for the conversion mount. so roughly for $800 i did it myself with the help of a friend.
It's not hard to do if you have common sense and know how to read. But if you know nothing about cars I wouldnt recommend it. It'd be a lot cheaper if you have, or have access to the tools and a place to work beforehand.
It's a good learning experience if you DIY. If you think you're up for it, do it.
