throttle cable replacement

hey i got a ek sedan and the gas pedal is no as smooth as it should be. its got some spots where its hard to press. i was talkin to a honda parts guy and he said those cars have a problem with the throttle cable. so i would have to replace the cable. is that true? anyone replaced one and how hard is it to do?

the hardest part is getting the throttle cable off the back of the gas pedal (and its not even that hard).

I did mine this summer in about 30 minutes and that included fabbing a bracket so the cable fit better

so its a once piece cable? do u have to measure the treaded part that is bolted to the intake

no, just when you go to put the new one on make adjust the nuts on the threaded part to get the proper amount of tension on the throttle cable.

dude, next post you make, learn how to type proper english.

And you'd rather try a $300 throttle body first over like a 50$ cable? You properly just needed a TB service, lol.
