Unless you car is 10+ years old and all the tiny rubber O-rings at the base of the shifter are gone and all the OEM rubber bushings are dried out and cracked. The rebuild kit is about $20 and probably the single best mod I ever did to my old 98. It shifted like a new car after.

I have the ES shifter bushing kit, but I am trying to find the es bushing where the linkage meets the tranny. Any ideas?

I dont think ES makes that bushing kit. Its an OEM kit from the dealer.

I saw a diy on club civic that had it. i called around and they saw the es kit is 17 and it comes with 7 bushings. I will update when i get it.

Sorry I missread your post. The ES kit should be just like the very first pic in that thread. The rectangular piece goes under the shifter where it bolts to the car and the round piece goes on the end where the shift rod bolts to the tranny.

what ^^ is referrring to is this piece you get from the dealer, the ES bushings go under the car where the shifter connects and the thing hes talking about is a small cyliner with rubber circle things that go on it
