True, but then I won't have that short throw...lol

Plus with the skunk2 you can get replacement bearings when/if they "blow out" in the future.

Hrrmmm...decisions, decisions, decisions.

this is the one that ive got http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...1_754452_10845 its a little on the expensive side but the shift is REALLY short and there is no bearing on the bottom like your old shifter, just silicone bushings.the bearing is located on the actual shifter.

Yah, that's a bit expensive, but nice tho. Can probably get the skunk for only $100.

My Skunk2 had sealed bearings that were not replaceable. I would just buy a B&M shifter or go back to stock, but replace everything and use an OEM rebuild kit.

It says bushings not bearings. There is a difference. The bearings are the metal ***** within the base of the shifter. The bushings are the rubber or urethane parts where the shifter and linkage attache to the car and tranny.

My Skunk2 was a great shifter, but for the price, now I can think of much better ays to spend $100+.

Yes, I know what the differences are and I believe that the person who answered the question meant bearing. Otherwise why would he/she say yes?? Plus, does skunk2 even sell bushings?

Decided to grab a skunk2 single bend off of ebay for $100. Not bad since places in the GTA where selling for $140. Hopefully it'll be here in about a week.

Now just have to decide on a place to install it.

Btw, anyone know where I can get a type-r (real or fake) shift boot? My OEM has a hole in it and might as well change it while doing the shifter.

no its a bunch of little pieces..metal and plastic that go inside the base of the shifter, to stop it from wiggling... apparently over time they wear out which makes sense ... u gotta take the shifter apart to fix.. which i havent done yet

Just take apart the original one. It's easy once it's a apart becuase you can see how everything goes together.

If I remember correctly... 2 plastic end pieces, 4 rubber O-rings, and the steel centre part
