RPM question

Hi, I have a 1997 Honda Civic DX coupe. My car has no tach, so I have no way of knowing numerically what RPM I am at. Does anyone know what speedometer reading corresponds to peak power (6,400 RPM I believe) and redline (6,800 RPM). From What I have been able to find, it looks like the gear ratios are 3.250, 1.762, 1.172, .909, .702, with a final drive of 4.058. Thank You.

Install an aftermarket tach. You can get nice small ones that you can install in an a-pillar mount so it looks clean and tidy.

Or buy a cluster that has a tachometer in it. You can find an Si one for $40-$50. Easy install, clean OEM look.

I agree. Just buy a tach. We sell real nice ones at High Performance Auto Parts and Accessory Superstore!|www.autopart-performance.com and can offer you free shipping on all orders over $50. It will be hard to say just by the speedo reading because you need to take into consideration the tire diameter and if any gear ratio's have been changed in the drivetrain.
