What is wrong with revving at 3k at 100km/h?
At 120km/h in 5th I'm at 3800rpm lol.
If you want it to be lower, you would need to swap the 5th gear or get a different transmission. Problem is, if you were to mount a transmission of some engine that was non-vtec [since usually the longer geared transmissions are on non-vtec engines], you would be constantly falling out of vtec when shifting at redline and overall it would take a huge acceleration loss. Shorter gears mean greater mechanical advantage to accelerate the car, therefore the shorter the better. Moreover 3000rpm at 100km/h isn't even that bad. Guessing at 120km/h you'd be somewhere around 3200-3300rpms so its still quite economical taking into consideration that some transmissions [like Integra Type-R] rev well past 4000rpm mark at 120km/h.
So really you have nothing to worry about.
