I have done something today that I wish never happened , I have been the victim of a scam I think. I have been looking for about 1 month for a GOOD civic to buy ( i was an american car guy but decided to try Honda) So my wife and I went and purchased a 1997 civic with low kms on it. To make a long stroy short 2 hours!!!! later the car starts driving like crap and not shifting right and now I think the tramission is gone because the car revs like hell when i take off from a stop and then you can hear it sort of kick in gear and then drive away. I am no mechanic by any means. Any one give me a rough idea of what the hell is going on and $$$ I'm looking at to fix my 18 hour old car ?
